CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading children’s cancer charity, is delighted to be chosen as the main charity to benefit from this year’s Wilford Village Charity Firework Display. Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. CLIC Sargent is the only charity that offers them all round care and support.

Dee Richardson, Event Fundraising Manager for the North of England and the East Midlands, said “In Nottingham we have a fantastic service to help to lighten the load of families going through this difficult time.

We have a team based at the QMC who help families with all the non-medical needs that may arise when families find themselves going through the unimaginable.

We also offer support to the people of Nottinghamshire through grants so people don’t have to worry about their finances as much and therefore can concentrate their attention on their child.

The money raised from this event in particular will be used to benefit the people in and around the Nottinghamshire area.”
