NO BONFIRE !
Roger Steel, Event Chairman states "Of course we are disappointed that we will not be allowed to build our hugh bonfire, at this venue, this year. However the rugby club have been so successful in establishing a youth academy that every blade of grass is now required to cater for the growing age ranges attending.
And we can only offer our congratulations to Nottingam Moderns Rugby for a great success story.
So we just set you a little 'Bonfire Teaser' instead !!
In 2009, Bonfire Night come early! Our massive pile of wood was set alight.
Billy Joel proclaimed his innocence in a fabulous video clip that would grace any quiz show - How many can you remember?

CRESCENDO - Formidably Impressive!
This year the annual Wilford Rotary Fireworks will fall on Saturday November 3rd, at Nottingham Moderns Rugby Ground, Wilford Village, NG11 7AA, and Trent Bridge Rotary Club are preparing for their biggest Firework Party to date.
Stand by for a stunning display of impressive fireworks from the locally renowned pyrotechnic team from Crescendo Fireworks responsible for the dazzling displays at Highfields Lakeside, celebrating Chinese New Year, and Wilford Jubilee Celebrations.
To ensure a display better than anything you will see locally, Rotary have maintained last years fireworks budget - and not just one, but TWO DISPLAYS - wow !
Rotary Event Chairman Roger Steel goes on to say "I am really excited, not only have we increased our previous budget, but we are holding prices for a fifth consecutive year, with tickets bought in advance from the internet, or local shops in Wilford, Meadows & West Bridgford, offering extremely good discounts for early purchases."
"Our family ticket remains a firm favourite, with plenty to keep the children enthralled. Indeed, this year there will be two firework displays - a children's fantasy fireworks at 6.30pm, and our special Guy Fawkes Celebration Fireworks, with a James Bond theme, at 8pm, so don't be late - it's too good to miss !"
Crescendo have promised a dazzling display - watch out for the latest fabulous fireworks, and the stunning grand finale, We're throbbing already !

Tribute to Katy Perry who appeared in Nottingham on 5th November 2011, with her brilliant rendition and video of 'Firework', and we will be giving it a bit of 'Boom, Boom, Boom' too! You have been warned!"
REAL ALE MARQUEE & LIVE BAND(S)
Roger enthuses; "Due to last year's successful launch we will also continue with a Real Ale Beer Tent, with ales from Castle Rock Brewery. What better way to wash down the succulent, ever popular Hog Roast supplied by Beedham’s award winning butchers. If it’s good enough for Michelin Star Restaurants it’s good enough for us [We sold out last time, so we have gone for more Hogs to satisfy demand!] And, we will be featuring local live music in the marquee, which continues following the fireworks". This year we bring you Colin Staples Blues Band one of Nottingham’s favourite. Be amazed by Doc on lead guitar & Colin on harmonica – Great musicians.
We also feature last year’s sensations Terminal 5 Experience, and a young group that appeared at the Wilford Jubilee celebrations – now, no screaming girls !
DUE TO OVERWELMING DEMAND
AND AS USUAL
Trent Bridge Rotary Club HOG ROAST to fill the biggest appetite. Hot Peas too! Of course Hot Dogs, Burgers, Teas, Coffee, A Mini Fair, for kiddies & Adults, will be accompanied by the traditional Doughnuts, Candy Floss, Ice Cream etc.

ATTENTION - YOUR PARKING FACILITIES
There are now no parking facilities in Wilford Village, due to Tram Works, and parking restrictions apply, as we have a duty to look after the interests of the local community. May we suggest the use of the Victoria Embankment - pedestrian access via Wilford Toll Bridge, or use the Emmanuel School & Gresham Sports Park Car Park, with access from the new Wilford Lane mini-roundabout, or Becket School Car Park, both then utilising the new well lit footpath direct into Wilford Village and the Firework Event. Ask the Stewards if you need help. Just £1 per car to cover our stewarding costs, thank you.
CAUTION – Do not park in Wilford Co-Op car park as a strict 2 hour limit is recorded on automatic number plate recognition cameras, and the fine for exceeding this limit follows in the post.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
Do give yourself plenty of time to arrive early, and avoid disappointment. We have a tight programme.
Hope you can join us on Saturday November 3rd 2012, it promises to be a great night.
